We speak with Elizabeth Maxted, General Manager for the Capital Assets Division at Liquidity Services. Elizabeth provides her supply chain career influences and path from a business degree to the Corporate Executive Board organization to her current position. She is passionate about the circular economy and sees continued growth in the field. She emphasizes the need for people in this industry to be agile, collaborative, disciplined, and to be very comfortable with data analysis. She encourages younger people to grow their foundational tools and try lots of different strategies for career growth. She is a big supporter of mentorships and learning how to lead by studying positive leaders. She also shares her thoughts about teamwork, having been on a final four sports team while in college.
Who is Elizabeth Maxted?
Elizabeth Maxted currently serves as Vice President and General Manager of the Capital Assets Group for Liquidity Services. During her 13-year tenure with the reverse logistics solutions provider she has served in various commercial leadership roles, most recently managing the London-based international commercial business from 2016 to 2019. Her prior experience includes six years at the best practices search and consulting firm, Corporate Executive Board, now part of Gartner.
Elizabeth is passionate about the circular economy and its role in global sustainability. Her recent articles include Why Surplus Asset Disposal can be an Underrated Source of Revenue and How Procurement Can Lead in The Future of Sourcing and Procurement Leaders publication on Unlocking the Opportunity of Surplus Asset Disposal.
Elizabeth has her Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University School of Business. Additionally, she is a member of George Washington University’s Women in Leadership Program Advisory Council, with the mission of guiding young women in business. In her spare time, you can find her mentoring young field hockey players at HUSEL Field Hockey in Fairfax, Virginia.
